January 2026 ORF Tour

ORF TOUR – WEDNESDAY JANUARY 14, 2026

The ORF on Wednesday January 14, 2026 will be to Young Harris, GA for lunch at Mary’s Southern Grill. Yes, we’ve been there before. We’ll will run a route through Cleveland, Helen, Scorpion Hollow up through the mountains to HWY 76W through Hiawassee to Mary’s Southern Grill.

The route up is approximately 62 miles with 1 hour and 30 minutes driving time on some twisty and curvy roads. I trust you will be able to find something to eat at Mary’s…see menu below:

We will be departing from the IHOP in Dawsonville GA, with a bio stop at the Ingles in Cleveland.

Below is the proposed schedule:

• 08:15 – 09:00 – Breakfast at the IHOP, 4117 Dawson Forest Rd E, Dawsonville, Ga

• 09:00 – 09:15 – Tire kicking and drivers meeting with a 09:15 departure

• 09:15 – 10:00– A run up to the Ingles @ 55 Helen Hwy (75 ALTN), Cleveland, GA

• 10:00 – 10:30 - Rest break , gas and pick up any east siders.

• 10:30 – 11: 30 – Continue on to Young Harris, GA

• 11:30 – 13:00 – Lunch at Mary’s Southern Grill

Oh! I propose to drive to the top, not hike as I am a driver, not a hiker!!!!! LOL!!!
