Update!

The Tech Session for Saturday, Jan. 27 is on. There is a fair amount of rain in the forecast and it is totally acceptable to drive an OM if you plan to attend. We made arrangements to have an MGB on the lift to serve as the example car.

And, it is never too late to register, by clicking on the 'YES' button above.

MGreetings and see you Saturday,

New Date!

Because of the very cold weather in the forecast for Saturday, January 20, we have pushed the Tech Session back by a week. It will now be Saturday, January 27. Everything else remains the same.

If you have already registered, and you can make it, there's nothing you need to do. If you can't, please cancel your registration, or let me know.

If you had not registered, and the new date works for you, please hit the YES button above and register for the 27th.

Thanks and MGreetings,

Tech Session

Saturday, January 27, 2024

We will go through a very comprehensive checklist, developed by John Twist of University Motors in Grand rapids, MI, to get your car ready for the beginning of the driving season. It will include lubricating and checking/setting the endplay of the front wheel bearings. We will have one car on the lift while we go through the entire list as an example and you can then do the same on your car at home to find out which items need fixing or attention over the winter months, to get ready and safe for the driving season.

The day will start at 10:00 am and and when we're done, we go for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

PS1: You can download it from the University Motors website, click here.

PS 2: Mark your calendar for the second Tech Session of the year on Saturday, February 17, also at my garage. We will cover a basic tune-up of your MG, using the methods as published in the original owners and workshop manuals. We’ll cover ignition, valves, and the carburetors and we’ll have on MG on the lift to serve as the example for everybody to see how one can tune-up our cars without any expensive and/or complicated tools.
