After a pandemic and a move from Decatur to Cumming, we will bring back a winter favorite and visit Wagner Motor Sports.
The Peachtree MG Registry will provide lunch at 11:30 am. And while you're munching on your sandwich, Bob will show us a special movie of the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hr. race.
Yes, that was the year that GT40's ruled the grueling 24 hr. race and subject of the 2019 hit movie Ford vs. Ferrari with Matt Damon as Caroll Shelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles. Bob recently discovered this footage, which has only be seen by very few people. Bob can explain it much better, so come and join us on the 25th. There are probably no MG's in this movie but both Both Caroll Shelby and Ken Miles drove MG racing cars early in their illustrious careers. Below is Ken in his Flying Shingle special in the mid-50's (top) and Carol Shelby in his TC from the early 50's (bottom).
After the movie, Bob will show us around his new shop and what he's been working on lately. With many years of experience in British cars and motor sport, Bob will also have insightful answers to your technical related questions.
