The MGB overdrive often leaks a little bit of oil, leaving oil stains on the garage floor.
There are a few things we can do about this quite easily. This tech session we will work on Manny Gil's 1980 MGB and replace the gasket and filter of his overdrive unit (numbers 8 and 9 in the image on the left).
In addition, we'll take a look at the hood and bonnet latches. Some MG owner install an emergency release cable for the hood and tighten up (and/or applying some Loctite) the trunk latch.
The day will start at 10:00 am and and when we're done with the overdrive and latches we may have time for some other MGs on the lift, before we go for a lunch at a nearby restaurant.
