Pertronix Zoom Tech Session

Not too long ago, PMGR member John Miller installed a Pertronix module in his 1979 MG Midget. That is the model with the rubber bumpers and the, Triumph Spitfire sourced, 1500 cc engine. 

Now, you may remember that on January 16, 2021, Neil Estes hosted a Zoom Tech Session on the same topic. Unfortunately, and probably because it was our first experiment with Zoom and video, the recording of that day had either video or audio, but never both at the same time. On February 16, John would like to share his experience and also demonstrate how to properly adjust the ignition timing using a dial-back timing light.

This time we’ll get it properly recorded so that it can be posted on our YouTube channel.
And, if there’e enough time, we’ll also check the valve clearance using a go/no-go feeler gauge.

We’ll open the Zoom at 10:00 am for coffee, donuts, and virtual tire kicking. At 10:30 we’ll start the program and we think that we should be dome in about one hour. After that we'll open the forum with questions, thoughts, and experiences on MG Tech related topics.
